Do you require a deposit?
I do require a 20% deposit at time of booking to secure your session date.
Do you have a client wardrobe?
Yes, I do! All options available are on a highlight on my Instagram named "client wardrobe" and I am forever adding to the collection! All of the options are complimentary as part of your package. If you don't have access to Instagram and would like to see the pieces please let me know.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I'm based in Marlborough, NZ. And yes I will absolutely travel! However anything outside of a 30km radius of Blenheim may incur a travel fee.
When will we get our photos?
You will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within 4 weeks of the session taking place (often less depending on the season I photograph your story). You can download all of the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favourites, and order prints!
How many pictures will we receive?
You will receive all edited images, for most sessions this is around 100-200.
Will you advise us on what to wear?
Absolutely! Believe it or not, the tones we wear correlate with your chosen location and how the finished product comes out more than you may realise! I pride myself on delivering the style of images my clients hire me for, therefore clothing recommendations are really important. The little details are vital! But like I always say, these are your images! And of course ultimately what you wear is up to you. More importantly, you still want to look like yourselves and your images need to represent yourself and/or your family. My clothing recommendations are just that, recommendations. But if you do want your images to turn out like my usual "style" I do strongly suggest taking note of them.
Will you provide location ideas?
For sure! I have a wee list which I provide upon booking confirmations. But if you already have a location in mind or would like them taken at your home for example, this is absolutely a-ok!
What time do your sessions take place?
I much prefer to shoot in golden hour light. The quality of images at this time of day is far superior and I am far more proud of the work I provide in this light. Harsh middle of the day light casts a lot of unwanted shadows and harsh unflattering shadows on faces etc, which doesn't sit well with my perfectionism! I am happy to do in-home sessions during the day, and will do day-time sessions as long as my clients are aware of the cons of such. Golden hour sessions can be tricky for families with young children in summer as it can place them as late as 8pm, so I do understand this is not always ideal! If you have slightly older children who can manage the later nights, I recommend embracing it and making an adventure out of it! And if you have younger children, chuck in a later than usual nap and roll with it. One night veering off routine is worth it for a lifetime of having the images.
